Mutineer Restaurant (Wharf Lounge): 2007-12-15

The Mutineer Restaurant (more precisely, the Wharf Lounge, which is inside Mutineer and has live music on Fridays and Saturdays) is found just past the southernmost end of the Florida Turnpike. No smoking. Rustic yet upscale, nautical-themed woodsy ambience, friendly and efficient staff, good food, small stage, indoor and outdoor seating, ample parking.
 

Mutineer sits on a corner - the east side of U.S. 1 and the south side of Palm Drive in Florida City. This is what you can see when you look north from the parking lot.
 

As Ana and I sat at our table facing the band, I turned left and took this shot. I suspect that the hallway (on the left) leads to an exit and restrooms.
 

This time I pointed a bit to the right to include more of the dancers and part of the band "Rock-A-Way."
 

This view is from the other end of Mutineer's Wharf Lounge and you can hardly see the Rock-A-Way band in the shadowy distance. The photo's left just catches the edge of a bar area. If you turn around, you will find a few more tables, and then the path turns right to an exit that leads to an area shown in the photo below.
 

The multipurpose Mutineer is great for eating, drinking, live music, relaxing with friends... whatever.
 

There's even a pond! It is roughly between the parking lot and US-1. On the left, there's a thing that looks like a houseboat which may or may not be real or functional. Not seen in the photo but just past the right edge, is a cool fake (or stuffed?) alligator standing upright on a wood platform on the water. Of course, there are plenty of ducks.
