Carrington's Sports Bar & Grill: 2009-2-20 CLOSED
Three-week-old Carrington's Sports Bar & Grill, on the spot once filled by Jay Love's Hooligan's Pub & Oyster Bar (a.k.a. Big Hoolie's), offers live music on Fridays and Saturdays (for other events, see photo of schedule near bottom of page), efficient and cheerful service, bar, food, stage, DJ booth, TVs, pool tables and more. Along with wine, Ana had a Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich while I attacked a Blackened Mahi Mahi Sandwich. Some former Hooligan's patrons may be disappointed that there is no smoking but we (and many others) cheered. Location at Dadeland Plaza provides ample well lit parking.
Entrance to Carrington's.
Entrance at my back, pointing straight ahead. To the left is a bar and further left beyond the pic is a room with pool tables. At right is a room with bars, tables, dance floor, TVs, stage and DJ booth.
Turned a bit to the right.
Turned further right. Can't see it now but beyond the DJ booth is the band stage.
Stage with lights overhead. The band Travler also used their own lights. At the distant left below the blue lights is a bar.
Dance floor. There's an exit behind me. To my left is the DJ booth and to my right is the stage.
Back in the middle.
Turning left for a broader view of the bar.
Turned further left. We are now heading to the pool tables.
We are almost there. At right, notice how the bar wraps around.
I was behind the bar for this view of the pool room.
Bar on right. At left beyond the photo are pool tables.
This weekly schedule was near the entrance/exit, facing the bar.
Outside the exit. Lots of parking and there's also parking on the roof. Carrington's Sports Bar & Grill
