Wide Open: 2009-2-27 at Carrington's Sports Bar

Wide Open at Carrington's.

Wide Open careened into Carrington's Sports Bar & Grill at wide open throttle with exuberant rock and roll. Ana's comments include, " . . . Lots of energy and in addition to a great sound, a lot of audience interaction . . . They were truly having a good time and so was the audience . . . These guys went all out on their lighting setup . . . A good sense of humor and lots of fun that comes through their music . . . " Go to their MySpace site at http://www.myspace.com/WIDEOPEN_FANZ for gig schedules and YouTube video covers of AC/DC's "Highway to Hell," Van Halen's "Eruption" and "You Really Got Me," Nazareth's "Hair of the Dog" and more. Above, we have Louie Ameduri on lead vocals, Mike Perez on bass, Mike Giardina on lead guitar and vocals, and Roy Subirana on drums and vocals.

Mike Giardina playing his guitar behind his head.

I was on a break, sipping coffee with my back to the stage while listening to awesome guitar riffs. When I turned, Mike Giardina was playing with the Les Paul behind his head. I immediately resumed shooting.

Presenting bassist Mike Perez, entranced by the wall of sound. Great bass lines and a great player.

Roy Subirana on drums and vocals.

Drummer and vocalist Roy Subirana, tireless master of the perfect beat. Lives to drum, drums to live.
