Rock-A-Way: 2007-12-15 at Mutineer's Wharf Lounge

Rock-A-Way does classic rock and roll at Mutineer's Wharf Lounge.

Someone suggested that I check out Mutineer Restaurant's Wharf Lounge. Off we went to find the band "Rock-A-Way." We had a blast enjoying their spirited classic rock and roll. Above, from left to right, we see Dan on bass and vocals, Lou Roberts on lead vocals, Danny on drums, and Wes on lead guitar and vocals. The stage was the darkest area but I somewhat managed by shooting on manual at ISO 3200.

Lou's stage presence matches his fine vocals.

Lou did super on lead vocals with great timing, emotion and dynamics - and made it look easy. Later, we learned that singing runs in his family.

Wes tears through guitar riffs with the Rock-A-Way band at Mutineer.

Wes's guitar dazzled. Timing, phrasing, intensity, you-name-it... he injected just enough musical humor just to keep things lively.

Dan's bass is Rock-A-Way's solid foundation.I tried for an out-of-the usual shot of the stage.

Above left: Dan's artful but solid bass lines enhanced without overpowering and never veered off-course. Above right: an alternate view of the stage.

Danny pours his soul into his drums.

Danny gave a strong drumming performance, as he's a natural with a feel for percussion. He later came to our table and it was obvious that he loves his band.

Rock-A-Way does not have a website but it does have a phone: 305-255-2956. This number is also used for Danny's business: Magic City Mirror and Glass.
